HOW DOES THE SYSTEM WORK?

  • It's simple. In an emergency, you first call 911.

  • Then activate the blue light to tell police, paramedics or others that they have reached the right place. No searching for the right address, so help arrives faster.

  • You may want to arrange an "Emergency System" with your neighbors. If they see your Blue Light flashing, they will be aware that you need help and follow whatever prearranged action you'd like them to take.

WHAT IS A BLUE LIGHT UNIT?

Your Blue Light Kit consists of a blue light bulb and a flasher component. When placed in an ordinary light socket, the blue light flashes when activated. Quickly and easily installed, it becomes a beacon in your window to help speed assistance to you.

WHEN SHOULD I USE THE BLUE LIGHT?

  • ONLY use your Blue Light unit in a real emergency, such as police, fire or medical emergency.

  • PLEASE DO NOT ACTIVATE THE BLUE LIGHT EXCEPT IN AN EMERGENCY!

Be careful not to turn it on by accident. Always remember to be sure it is turned off when it's not needed.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?

  • Before installing your unit, disconnect the lamp plug from the electrical outlet to avoid possible shock.

  • Screw the Blue Light unit into an ordinary lamp or fixture that looks like part of your room decor. Just be sure that the shade doesn't hide the flashing blue light when it is activated.

  • Place the unit in a window that can easily be seen from the street. Check to see that it is not obscured by bushes or shrubs.

  • Test the unit every so often to be sure it is working properly.

  • Remember, in an emergency call 911 first. Once you have done so, then activate the Blue Light system.
